Employment in Finance
Once you have joined the Graduate Development Program (the Program) you are a permanent employee of the Australian Public Service (APS).
Conditions
You will be engaged under the Broadband classification “Finance Graduate Broadband”. Your terms and conditions are set out in the Finance Enterprise Agreement 2011-2014
Pay
Employees classified as Graduate APS, recruited to participate in the Program will have a commencement salary equivalent to the second pay point of an APS 3 classification level. This is currently $55,105.
Advancement
Graduates have the opportunity to apply for two advancements throughout their graduate year. Advancement to the APS 4 level is available in October and advancement to the APS 5 level is available in February the following year (providing all criteria is met).
Health Promotion Programs
Finance has a number of health promotion programs available to all staff. These programs include:
- Free use of the Finance gym
- Lunch time exercise activities
- Fitness assessments and personalised training programs
- Health awareness seminars
- Health check program
- Eye sight testing
- Quit smoking subsidy
